ABOUT
Hi, my name is Mike. I'm an Artist working in Durham, North Carolina. I live here with my beloved wife, adorable daughter, and two dear pets. I love them very much, and have quickly come to call the Bull City home. I graduated from NC State University with a BFA in Art + Design (basically a general art degree) in 2018.
I enjoy doing almost every form of visual art, particularly Illustration, making comics, and posters. I would love to one day be able to paint a mural somewhere for everyone to enjoy. Someday I may self publish a graphic novel that 3 people will read (and I hope appreciate rabidly).
I don't really have any deep meaning behind my work aside from wanting to make things that make people happy (or scared or sad, you know those emotional things that people have occasionally). I generally like for my work to be clean, expressive, detailed and bold (but I also realize that generalizing your art with rules can make it predictable and boring, so sometimes I make things, or at least try to, the opposite).
